SPECIAL MATERIALS RESEARCH AND TECHNOLOGY

SPECMAT is a technology research company incorporated in 1995 in the State of Ohio as a “for-profit” corporation.

SPECMAT has received R&D grants from NASA, DARPA (Defense Advanced Research Projects Agency), and BMDO (Ballistic Missile Defense Organization) to develop Room Temperature Wet Chemical Growth (RTWCG) SiOX  dielectrics and SiOM (M = heavy metal) thin films for a variety of applications pertaining to microelectronics, optoelectronics and photonics.

SPECMAT has licensed its photovoltaic/solar technology to Equity Solar, Inc.  and its microelectronics technology to Equity Micro Tech, Inc.
